E-learning
E-learning, used where knowledge is the gap.
Modules are one of several accessibility supports in the hub. This page covers how they are designed, customized, and delivered, so you can decide whether learning is the right instrument for the problem in front of you.
Learning design
Most workplace training is forgotten within days. Ours is designed against that.
Adult learners lose a large share of new information within twenty-four hours unless it is reinforced. Our design choices work with that reality rather than against it.
Scenario-based practice
Learners make decisions in realistic municipal situations and see the consequences, rather than passively absorbing content.
Spaced reinforcement
Diversity Moments™, MicroMoments, and toolkits keep concepts alive between formal sessions instead of relying on a single training event.
Consulting-informed content
Scenarios, examples, and discussion prompts are shaped by what our consulting practice sees inside Canadian workplaces.
Accessible by design
WCAG 2.1 AA, screen reader compatible, and designed for cognitive diversity, so the learning works for all staff, not most of them.
Library, tailored, or custom
Buy it as it is, tailor it lightly, or have it built for you.
Every deliverable can be purchased individually or bundled, so each municipality builds a suite aligned to its priorities, capacity, and stage of maturity.
From our library
Established modules, toolkits, guides, and resource packages deployed as they are.
Lightly tailored
Existing tools adapted for your branding, policies, and local context.
Custom developed
Original deliverables built for your context. Scope, level of effort, and timelines are confirmed in advance.
eLearning is SCORM 1.2 and 2004 compliant and LMS-agnostic. Where a municipality does not have an LMS, we can host the training on our secure platform.
Typical customization timelines
2 to 4 weeks
Branding and localization
Your logo, colours, and terminology applied to existing content. The fastest route to a municipally branded experience.
6 to 10 weeks
Scenario customization
New scenarios developed from your workplace situations, with your policies woven throughout.
12 to 16 weeks
Full custom development
Ground-up instructional design from a needs analysis, with milestone reviews throughout development.
Our process
How custom eLearning is developed
Step 1
Needs assessment
Collaborative discovery to confirm compliance requirements, municipal context, learner demographics, and desired outcomes.
Step 2
Content development
Original content informed by legislation, best practice, your policies, and lived experience perspectives.
Step 3
Instructional design
Adult learning principles, scenario-based learning, interactive elements, and knowledge checks.
Step 4
Accessibility compliance
WCAG 2.1 AA design including screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, captioning, alternative text, and accessible assessments.
Step 5
Review and quality assurance
Iterative review cycles with your stakeholders to confirm accuracy, voice, and cultural relevance.
Step 6
Deployment support
Technical support for LMS integration or hosted delivery, launch readiness, and learner support resources.
Where customization is requested, scope, level of effort, and timelines are confirmed in advance and may include jurisdictional alignment, branding, policy integration, or local context considerations.
