Accessibility statement
Global Learning is committed to ensuring that our learning experiences are accessible to all learners, including those who use assistive technologies or have other accessibility needs.
Our commitment
Accessibility is not an afterthought at Global Learning; it is a core value that shapes everything we create. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to learning opportunities, and we design our content with this principle at the forefront.
All Global Learning eLearning content meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. This internationally recognized benchmark ensures that our content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users with a wide range of abilities and assistive technology needs.
WCAG 2.1 AA principles
Perceivable
Content is presented in ways that all users can perceive. This includes text alternatives for images, captions for videos, and sufficient colour contrast.
Operable
All functionality is available from a keyboard. Users have enough time to read content, and navigation is consistent and predictable.
Understandable
Content is readable and understandable. Instructions are clear, and the interface behaves in predictable ways.
Robust
Content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies. Our code follows web standards for maximum compatibility.
Accessibility features in our content
- Screen reader compatible (tested with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- Full keyboard navigation
- Closed captions on all video content
- Transcripts available for audio content
- Minimum 4.5:1 colour contrast ratio for text
- No reliance on colour alone to convey information
- Resizable text without loss of functionality
- Alternative text for all meaningful images
- Consistent navigation and labelling

- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Skip navigation links
Testing and validation
Automated testing
We use industry-standard accessibility testing tools including axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse to identify and remediate accessibility issues during development.
Assistive technology testing
All content is tested with multiple screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and other assistive technologies to ensure real-world compatibility.
Manual review
Our accessibility specialists conduct manual reviews to catch issues that automated tools miss, including cognitive accessibility and usability concerns.
User testing
We conduct user testing with individuals who rely on assistive technology to validate that our content works well in practice, not just in theory.
Accessibility documentation
We provide Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and other accessibility documentation for procurement processes. Contact us to request documentation for specific products at accessibility@egloballearning.com.
Accessibility feedback
We are committed to continuous improvement. If you encounter any accessibility barriers in our content or website, or have suggestions for how we can improve, please let us know at accessibility@egloballearning.com.
